Dkt. Kalemani aitaka TANESCO kuunganisha nguvu Kukamilisha Miradi ya Umeme ya Kurasini na Kimbiji

NAIBU Waziri wa Nishati na Madini, Dkt. Medard Kalemani,(pichani anayeongea), amelitaka Shirika la Umeme Tanzania TANESCO kuunganisha nguvu ili kuhakikisha wanakamilisha mradi wa ujenzi wa kituo cha kupoza na kusamabaza umeme kinachotarajiwa kujengwa huko Kimbiji wilayani Kigamboni jijini Dar es Salaam.
Dkt. Kalemani ametoa maelekezo hayo leo Agosti 22, 2017, wakati alipofanya ziara kukagua miradi ya umeme kwenye kituo cha kupoza na kusambaza umeme cha Kurasini, Kigamboni na eneo panapotarajiwa kujengwa kituo kingine cha kupoza na kusambaza umeme huko Kimbiji wilayani Kigamboni jijini Dar es Salaam.
“Hakikisheni mradi wa uejenzi wa kituo hiki cha Kimbiji unakamilika ifikapo Machi 30, mwakani,(2018), na kuwaondolea adha ya upatikanaji wa umeme wananchi wa Kigamboni, chukueni mafundi waliokamilisha kazi ya kujenga kituo cha umeme kule Mtwara waje hapa, muwaache wale wanaojenga transition (njia ya kusafirisha umeme) wajenge, lakini wale mafundi wengine waleteni hapa ili mradi huu ukamilike.” Alifafanua.
Akiwa kwenye kituo cha kupoza na kusamabza umeme cha Kurasini jijini Dar es Salaam, Dkt. Kalemani aliipongeza TANESCO kwa juhudi kubwa walizofanya kwa hatua ujenzi waliyofikia ambapo sasa wameanza kufunga mashine kubwa. Kituo cha Kurasini ndicho kinachotegemewa sana na watu wa Mbagala, Kurasini na Kigamboni.
Ongezeko la haraka la wakazi kwenye maeneo ya Mbagala, na Kigamboni kumepelekea uhitaji mkubwa wa umeme ambapo umeme unaopatikana kwa sasa umekuwa haukidhi mahitaji ya wakazi wa maeneo hayo.
“Naomba niwaambie, mradi huu umechelewa sana, hivyo basi ongezeni kasi ili ifikapo Agosti 30, mwaka huu, mradi ukamilike nataka watu wa Mbagala, watu wa Kurasini, na watu wa Kigamboni wanaondokana na kero hii ya umeme, na mimi nitawaambia washeshimiwa wabunge wa Kigamboni Mheshimiwa Ndungulile (Dkt. Faustin Ndungulile) na Mheshimiwa Mangungu (Murtaza Magungu) Mbunge wa Mbagala kuhusu habari hii ili wawaambie wananchi wa maeneo haya wawe wavumilivu kwani mradi huu sasa utakamilika.” Alisema.
Dkt. Kalemani pia aliwaagiza viongozi wa TANESCO, kuhakikisha wanakusanya nguvu kwa maana ya vifaa kutoka ofisi zote za TANESCO mkoa wa Dar es Salaam, ili kuhakikisha wananchi wote wa Kigamboni wanaofikia 350 waliolipia ada za kuunganishiwa umeme wawe wamepelekewe umeme ifikapo mwisho wa mwezi huu wa Agosti.Kwa upande wake, Kaimu Mkurugenzi Mtendaji wa TANESCO, Dkt. Tito Mwinuka, aliwaambia waandishi wa habari kuwa maelekezo ya Mheshimiwa Naibu waziri yatafanyiwa kazi kwa haraka ili kuhakikisha kero hiyo inaondoka.

PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR PLANNING, DESIGNING, MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION OF INFRASTRUCTURE AND DRILLING PROGRAMME OF THREE (3) TEST (SLIM) WELLS AND PRE-FEASIBILITY STUDY AT NGOZI GEOTHERMAL AREA


EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

1.      This invitation for expression of interest follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) which appeared in Tanzania Procurement Journal (TPJ) Issue no. 1821-6021 Vol X-No. 30 Dated 25th July, 2017.

2.      The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Tanzania Geothermal Development Company Limited (TGDC) during the financial year 2017/2018. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Provision of consultancy services for Planning, Design, Management, and Supervision of Infrastructure and Drilling Programme of three (3) test (slim) wells and Prefeasibility study Ngozi Geothermal Area.

  1. Ngozi geothermal field belongs to the Rungwe Volcanic Province (RVP), situated directly south of Mbeya city, southwest Tanzania at a triple junction of the East African Rift system. The city is further 822 kilometers (tarmac road) northwest of Dar es Salaam, the country’s largest commercial city. Mbeya city is also reached by air (1 hour 25 minutes) or TAZARA railway.

  1. The Tanzania Geothermal Development Company Limited (TGDC) now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services which include; overall planning, designing, supervision and management of the drilling programme, time and cost effectiveness and transfer of knowledge to TGDC staff within the period of twelve (12) Months. The Drilling Programme includes; planning, well design, development of infrastructure (Access roads and water) and drilling operation of three (3) test (slim) wells.

  1. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services by submitting a consultant’s profile, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

  1. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government Notice No. 446 (hereinafter called Procurement Regulations).

  1. Selection of the shortlist will be based on the required capabilities and experience in Management, Supervision and undertaking Prefeasibility study in the similar assignments.  
  2. Interested eligible consultants may obtain further information from the office of the Secretary, TGDC Tender Board, Mt. Meru Building, 2nd Floor, Mandela Road, P.O.BOX 14801, Dar es salaam from 09.00 hours to 16.00 hours on Monday to Friday except on public holidays.

  1. Interested Firms are requested to submit written Expressions of Interest (EoI) in one (1) original and three (3) copies at or before 10.00 hours local time on Thursday 07th September, 2017. The Expression of Interest shall be enclosed in a single sealed envelope and marked “Expression of Interest for Provision of consultancy services for Planning, Design, Management and Supervision of Infrastructure and Drilling Programme of Three (3) Test (Slim) Wells and Pre-feasibility study at Ngozi Geothermal Area” and shall be submitted to the Secretary, TGDC Tender Board, Mt. Meru Building, 2nd Floor, Mandela Road, P.O.BOX 14801, Dar es salaam.

10.  Late Expressions of Interest shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
