TRANSPORTATION OF INDUSTRIAL DIESEL OIL – FUEL (IDO) FROM IKWIRIRI & KILWA MASOKO POWER STATIONS
TO LIWALE POWER

INVITATION FOR QUOTATIONS
1. The
Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited has set
aside funds for engaging a service provider for transportation of
industrial Diesel Oil – Fuel (IDO) from Ikwiriri & Kilwa Masoko
Power Stations to Liwale Power Station. It is intended that the fund
will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract
for which this IFQ is issued.
2. You are hereby invited to submit your priced quotation
for the provision of the services as described in the Statement of Requirement (SoR) and Prices as detailed in Section II.
3. You
may obtain further information and/or inspect the
quotation document at the office of Procurement Management Unit office
located at Ground floor, Room No. G15, TANESCO Head office, Umeme
Park-Building, Ubungo, P.O. Box 9024 Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Telephone/fax (255) 22451145/2451160/2452172 from
09.00hrs to 16.30hrs on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on
public holidays.
4. A
complete set of quotation Document in English and
additional sets may be purchased by interested bidders upon submission
of a written application to the address given under paragraph 3 above
and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 100,000 or its
equivalent in any freely convertible currency.
5. Payment
should either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or
Banker’s Cheque, payable to TANESCO Ltd. P.O. Box 9024 Dar es Salaam.
Quotation documents may be dispatched by courier upon payment of the
non-refundable fee upfront. The bidder shall pay courier charges for
posting the document. The purchaser shall resume
no responsibility for late delivery of quotation documents couriered.
6. The
scope of work will involve the transportation of
Industrial diesel Oil – Fuel (IDO) from Ikwiriri & Kilwa Masoko
Power stations to Liwale Power Station categorized in two (2) lots,
bidders are free to quote for any complete lot or combination of lots of
their choice. In-complete or partial quotation submitted
by the bidder will be rejected. The evaluation and award will be
carried out either on the basis of an individual lot or a combination of
lots. Discount offered for award of multiple lots will be taken into
account in the bid evaluation and ultimately determining
overall lowest evaluated bidder

7. All quotations in one original plus three copies, properly
filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes marked “QUOTATION NO.
PA/001/13/HQ/N/051 FOR TRANSPORTATION OF INDUSTRIAL DIESEL OIL – FUEL

STATION (not to be opened before
24th January, 2014) and must be delivered to the
Secretary, TANESCO Tender Board,
P.o. Box 9024, Dar es Salaam, Room No. G 15 at or before 14.30 hours local time.
8. Deadline for submission will be on Friday 24th
January, 2014 at 14:30 hours local time. Quotations will be opened
promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of bidders
representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the Twiga Board
Room located at Ground floor, TANESCO Head Office, Umeme
Park Building, Morogoro Road – Ubungo Dar es Salaam.
9. Late, partial and electronic quotations, and quotations
not opened at the quotation opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.

PROCUREMENT OF NEW AIR COMPRESSORS
INVITATION FOR QUOTATIONS
1. Tanzania
Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) has set aside funds for Supply
of New Air Compressors. It is intended that the funds will be used to
cover eligible payment under the contract for which
this invitation for quotation is issued.
2. TANESCO now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply of New Air Compressors
3. Tendering will
therefore be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) as
specified in Public Procurement (Goods, Works, Non-consultant Services
and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Regulation
66 (1-5) of 2005, G.N No. 97.
4. You are hereby
invited to submit your price quotation for supplying the goods as
described in the Schedule of Requirements and Prices attached as
Appendix A.
5. Tenderers may
