FOR PROVISION OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR RETIREMENT PLANNING TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR TANESCO STAFF TO BE IMPLEMENTED UNDER FRAMEWORK CONTRACT

1.0  Introduction

The Company has set aside some funds to facilitate training to its staff that are nearer to retire so as to enable them be economically sustainable and couple with new life after retirement. The Company is therefore anticipating acquiring a competent trainer who will be able to motivate these staff to be positive during the transition period of their retirement.

2.0             Objective of the assignment

The Objective of the course should enable participants to appreciate the positive side of retirement and to develop pertinent skills for preparing for an honourable and fulfilling retirement.

3.0             Scope of assignment

The Consultant will carry out the tasks on the distribution of the staff approaching retirement in years 2018 and 2019 as shown below:-

4.0  TANESCO now invites eligible firms to show their interest to conduct the exercise for Retirement Planning Training Programme for TANESCO Staff under Frame Work Contract.

 5.0 Selection

A successful Consulting firm will be selected in accordance with the Guidelines of Selection and Employment of Consultants stipulated by Public Procurement Act No.7 of 2011 Public Procurement (Selection and Employment of Consultants) G.N. No. 446.

Selection will be conducted through National Competitive method and Quality and Cost based selection (QCBS) procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations.

Eligible Interested Consulting firm Consultants may obtain further information at the address below from 09.00 – 12.30 hours and 14.00 – 16.30 hours local time (Monday to Friday) exclusive of public holidays:

Expression of interest (One (1) Original and Five (5) copies) with the accompanying materials should be submitted to the address shown above before or at 10.30 hours local time on 23^rd September, 2016.

No proposals are required to be submitted at this stage. On the basis of obtained information from eligible interested Consulting firm, TANESCO will prepare a shortlist of Consulting firm who will be invited through a Letter of Invitation including detailed Terms of Reference (TOR) to submit Request for Technical and Financial Proposals (RFP).

Interested Consulting firm must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services by submitting Consulting firm profile, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. Consulting firm may associate to enhance their qualifications.

Place, Date and Time of Opening   

The Documents for Expression of Interest submitted to the above address shall be opened publicly in TANESCO Twiga Board Room immediately after 10.30 hours local time 23^rd September, 2016.

Late submission of the documents, portion of documents, electronic documents, and documents not received, documents not opened at the opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
