TENDER NO.PA/001/14/HQ/G/133 FOR SUPPLY OF GAS OIL FOR AGGREKO GAS PLANT AT UBUNGO

1.                  Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) has set aside funds for procurement of gas oil for Aggreko Gas plant operation at Ubungo.

2.                  The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited now invites sealed tenders from eligible Tenderers for the supply of gas oil for Aggreko plant operation at Ubungo.

3.                  Tendering will be conducted through the National competitive procedures specified in the Public Procurement (Goods, Works, Non Consultant Service and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Regulations, 2013 – Government Notice No. 446 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.

4.                  Tenderers may obtain further information on the Tendering Documents at the office of the Procurement Management Unit located at Ground floor Room No. G15, TANESCO Head office, Umeme Park, Ubungo, P.O. Box 9024, Dar es Salaam. Telephone /fax (255) 22 2451145/2451160 /2452172 from 9.00 am to 16.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.

5.                  A complete set of tendering document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased upon submission of a written application to the Secretary, TANESCO Tender Board, Head office, Umeme Park Building- Ubungo, P.O. Box 9024 Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS: 100,000.00 or its equivalent in any freely convertible currency.    Payment should either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque payable to TANESCO Ltd. P.O. Box 9024, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Bidding documents may be dispatched by courier upon payment of the non-refundable fee before requesting for the dispatch. The Tenderer shall pay courier charges for posting the document. The purchaser shall resume no responsibility for late delivery of tendering documents.

6.                  All tenders in one original plus three copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes marked TENDER No.PA/001/14/HQ/G/133 FOR SUPPLY OF GAS OIL FOR AGGREKO PLANT OPERATION AT UBUNGO (NOT TO BE OPENED BEFORE 14:30 HOURS Friday, 20^th October, 2014) should be addressed to the SECRETARY, TANESCO TENDER BOARD, P.O. BOX 9024, DAR ES SALAAM to reach him at room No. G 15 not later than 20^th October, 2014, at 14.30hrs local time.

7.                  All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender securing declaration in the format provided in the bidding document.

8.                  Tenders must be delivered to the address in paragraph 4 above at or before 14.30 hours on 20^th October, 2014. Tenders will be opened in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at Twiga Board room located at Ground floor, TANESCO Head office, Umeme Park Building immediately after closing time.

9.                  Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out in Public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
