PLANNING ENGINEER (1 POST)- JOB REF. O1      Reports To:  Principal Engineer      Reporting Office: Hale Power Station

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Responsible for planning maintenance and repair of plant equipments at Hale hydropower plant timely enough to ensure optimal availability of the Plant. These include Power House Equipments, Generators, Turbines, Intake, Storage Dam, 132/33 kV Substation Equipments, Control Room Instruments and Equipments and their respective auxiliaries.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

·         Prepares and submits Planning Data’s to be incorporated to the submittal of Project Progress Report (weekly/ monthly) in coordination with Maintenance Engineer and submit same to the Principal Engineer for Approval.

·         Submit planning report such as preparation of manpower requirements for the project, preparation of material procurement report in accordance with approved program.

·         Coordinate with Principal Engineer the effective implementation and monitoring of Look-Ahead-Schedule including the project actual accomplishments.

·         Reports to the Principal Engineer the status of project progress against the plan schedule and provides corrective actions necessary if the planned schedule is not achieved.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

·         Good bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.

·         Must have intensive  technical experience/knowledge background

·         Minimum of 2-3 years of background experience in the planning of design/engineering activities, job working instruction / procedures, project control practices in planning and scheduling and overall awareness of projects in the field of petroleum and process industries

·         ERB Registration is an added advantage.

CLINICALOFFICER (1 POST)- JOB REF. O2      Reports To:  Plant Human Resources Officer      Reporting Office: New Pangani Falls Power Station

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Responsible for supervising health workers and ensuring quality health services are provided to staffs, their dependants and surrounding community.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

·         Ensure patients attending the dispensary are well examined, treated and handled according to medical ethics and procedures.

·         Provide health education to patients and ensure workers at the station are free from epidemic diseases like cholera; putting much effort on preventive measures and curative services.

·         Organize and provide health education and sensitization on HIV/AIDS, as well as rendering counseling services to infected and affected individuals.

·         Make follow up on medicine and medical equipments needed by dispensary, supporting and giving clear descriptions of the same when the need of purchasing arises.

·         Compiling and submitting on time dispensary progressive report to the DMO’s office and maintain close communication on matters pertaining health services.

·         Provide and maintain up to date inventory of all dispensary facilities.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Form IV or VI secondary certificate.
• Holder of Ordinary Diploma in Clinical Medicine.
• Minimum of 2 - 3 years of related experience
