1.     ELECTRICAL TECHNICIANS (1 POST)
                                 Reports To:  ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
                          Reporting Office:   Nyakato Power Plant - Mwanza            

                                                                                                               
POSITION OBJECTIVE
To execute planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance. Troubleshooting, installing, servicing and repair of electrical systems and their accessories





Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Specifically you will be responsible for ensuring that you:
  1. Assist in inspecting, testing electric and air conditions systems to ascertain their condition and operation status.

  1. To conduct thoroughly daily inspection of generating sets and their accessories and report to Electrical Engineer for any defects and carry out remedies.

  1. To carry out visual inspection of equipment and instruments and to report any faults and defects.

  1. Proper keeping of working tools.

  1. To assist Electrical Engineer in preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.

  1. To prepare and submit status reports on weekly and monthly basis.

  1. To restore the system in the shortest possible time during the system/plant outages.

  1. To perform any other technical duties this may be assigned by Maintenance Engineer.

  1. Attend monthly safety meetings.

  1. Participate in performing of new installations as per required standards   to ensure proper systems operations.



Key Knowledge, Experience and Skills you must posses
  • Holder of F.T.C or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized institutions any from recognized Institutions.
  • At least 1 year of working experience in related field.
  • Makes realistic, practical, value-based decisions
  • Prioritizes work and uses time efficiently
  • Plans ahead to ensure that resources are available in time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Computer literate






2.       MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN – 1 POST
                                    Reports to: Mechanical Engineer
                      Reporting Office: 60MW Nyakato Power Plant - Mwanza

POSITION OBJECTIVE

3     To carry out visual inspection of equipment and instruments and to report any faults and defects.

4     Proper keeping of working tools.
5     To assist Maintenance Supervisor in preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.

6     To prepare and submit status reports on weekly and monthly basis.

7     To restore the system in the shortest possible time during the system/plant outages.

8     To perform any other technical duties which may be assigned by Maintenance Engineer

9     Attend monthly safety meetings.

REMUNERATION
