TENDER: FOR SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF AUDIT MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

Invitation for Tenders

1.     Tanzania Electric Supply Company has set aside funds forSUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF AUDIT MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE.

2.     The Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) now invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF AUDIT MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE.

3.     Tendering will be conducted through International Competitive Bidding procedure specified in the Public Procurement (Goods, Works, Non Consultant Service and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Regulations, 2013– Government Notice No. 446 and is open to Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.

4.     Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information and/or inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Procurement Management Unit located at Ground floor, Room No. G15, TANESCO Head office, Umeme Park Building, Ubungo, along Morogoro Road, P.O. Box 9024 Dar es Salaam. Telephone/fax (255) 22 2451145/2451160/2452172 from09:00hrs to 16.30hrson Mondays to Fridays inclusive with an exception of public holidays.

5.     A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 6 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 150,000.00 or equivalent Payment should either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to TANESCO Ltd A/C No. 0100235013 for TZS and A/C No. 0100235021 for USD at CITY BANK P.O. Box 9024 Dar es Salaam. Bidding documents may be dispatched by courier upon payment of the non-refundable fee. The Tenderer shall pay courier charges for posting the document.  The purchaser shall resume no responsibility for late delivery of bidding documents couriered.

6.     All Tenders must be accompanied by original tender security equivalent to USD 1,700 or its equivalent in any freely convertible currencyin the form of bank guarantee or banker’s cheque from reputable bank in the format provided in the bidding document.  Tenders not accompanied by a tender security will be considered as non responsive.

7.     All tenders in one original plus three copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes clearly marked TENDER NO. PA/001/14/HQ/G/116 FOR SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF AUDIT MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE NOT TO BE OPENED BEFORE 14:30 HOURS  local time on 11^th April, 2014 should be addressed to the SECRETARY, TANESCO TENDER BOARD, P.O. BOX 9024, DAR ES SALAAM to reach him at room No. G 15 not later than 14:30 HOURS local time on 11^th April, 2014. Tenders will be opened thereafter in Public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at Twiga Board Room located at Ground floor, TANESCO Head Offices, Umeme Park Building, Morogoro Road – Ubungo.

8.     Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out in Public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
