The Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO) is focusing on increasing the outreach and service quality of its Energy products for Tanzanian people.  Next to its current passion as a leading provider of electricity is to be more efficient customer focused utility for Tanzania and beyond. 1. ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
   REPORTS TO: PLANT ACCOUNTANT
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Assist the Plant Accountant in all financial activities, including control and utilization of company funds according to Company procedures and regulations. 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·     To maintain Accounts records and preparation of claims and returns
·     To carry out pre-payment examination of invoices bills and other claims and petty accounts.
·     To write payment vouchers and cheques of small amounts and post those invoice to cash books.
·     To issue receipts and keep in safe custody all payment vouchers supporting documents.
·     To certify local purchasing or documents pending scrutiny.
·     To be responsible timely processing of creditors invoices/claims, including compliance with the terms of payment and availability of funds.
·     Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.
·     To deal with any other work related duties that will be assigned to you by your supervisor.
PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL DETAILS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 
Education:
·     Diploma in Accountancy
·     At least 1-2 years of working experience
·     Must be Computer Literate

·     Outstanding communication skills – oral, written, and presentation.

               2. STORES  OFFICER – 1 POST
REPORTS TO: PLANT ACCOUNTANT
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Manages procurement activities, controls stock and issue of materials for smooth operation in the plant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·     To manage and coordinate all stores processes in the plant to ensure sufficient availability of materials, tools and equipment.
·     To advise Plant Manager regarding Stores matters to ensure adherence to the Company and Public Stores Regulations.
·     To maintain and control stocks of materials to ensure efficient delivery and issuance of the same.
·     To plan, monitor and control activities of members of department in order to ensure the most effective utilization of resources and achievement of objectives and targets.
·     To produce monthly reports and returns for submission to Management to ensure they are informed of Plant’s performance.
·     To ensure stores data (in all forms) are kept and controlled to prevent fraud and misuse of data                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       
·     To perform any other official duties as may be assigned by superior
PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL DETAILS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 
Education:
·     Bachelor Degree in Materials Management or its equivalent
·     Three years experience

·     Communication skills – oral, written and presentation skills
·     Leadership skills
·     Teamwork
·     Outstanding communication skills – oral, written, and presentation.
·     Works diligently and  independently
·     Exhibits high standards of business and personal ethical conduct
·     Works on improving own knowledge, skills and attitudes
·     Must be computer literate
·     Fluent in English and Swahili
REMUNERATION
An attractive compensation package base on performance and consummate with the responsibility will apply to the successful candidates. All positions terms of employment are performance based fixed contract.
