INTRODUCTION
This
request for expression of interest (EoI) for consultancy services for
development of Conference Facility Business Plan and Design follow the
need to have Consulting firms that will undertake
development of Conference Facility’s Business Plan, Design and BoQ.
Conference facility comprises of but not limited to, administration
offices, Seminar rooms, Multi-purpose halls, Ablution block, parking
area.
TANESCO Savings and Credits Cooperatives Limited have
set aside funds for above mentioned services. The fund will be used to
cover eligible payment under the contract for which this expression of
interest is issued.
OBJECTIVES.
Objectives of the consulting assignment are:
· Develop Conference Facility Business plan
· To carry out Design work of Conference Facility (Including drawing).
· To prepare Bill of Quantity (BoQ)
SCOPE OF THE REQUIRED SERVICES.
TANESCO Savings and Credit
Cooperatives Society Limited now invites eligible qualified consultant
to express their interest in participating and submitting the Expression
of Interest (EoI) to provide the following
consulting services:-
I. To Develop Conference Facility Business plan
The Consultant shall carry out but not limited to market survey to determine:
· Number of potential customers.
· Market coverage, and estimated five year sales forecast.
· Establish organization structure, operations and management of the facility.
· Establish five years projected financial statements.
II. To carry out Design work and drawing of Conference Facility.
Produce architectural & structural designs and drawings
III. Preparation of bill of quantity for construction of Conference facility.
Eligible
Interested Consultants must provide information indicating that they
are qualified to participate in providing the services above (brochures,
description of similar assignments,
description of experience in similar conditions, availability of
appropriate skills amongst staff. The Consultants may associate to
enhance their qualifications.
SELECTION
A successful consultant will be selected in accordance with eligibility criteria described in paragraph above.

Expression
of interest (One (1) Original and Four (4) copies) with the
accompanying materials should be submitted to the address below before
or at 13.00 hours local time on
22 May, 2014

No
proposals are required to be submitted at this stage. On the basis of
obtained information from eligible interested consultants, TANESCO
SACCOS will prepare a shortlist of Consultants
who will be invited through a Letter of Invitation including detailed
Terms of Reference (TOR) to submit Request for Technical and Financial
Proposals (RFP).
Interested
consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified
to perform the services by submitting consultant’s profile, description
of similar assignments,
experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills
among staff, etc. Consultants may associate to enhance their
qualifications.
PLACE, DATE AND TIME OF OPENING
The
Documents for Expression of Interest submitted to the above address
shall be opened publicly in TANESCO SACCOS Board Room immediately after
13.00 hrs local time on 22 May 2014
Late
submission of the documents, portion of documents, electronic
documents, and documents not received, documents not opened at the
opening ceremony shall not be accepted for
evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
