ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN  - NEW PANGANI FALLS   1 POST   REPORTING TO:  ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR NEW PANGANI FALLS

POSITION OBJECTIVE

To ensure that all scheduled and emergence activities electrical related are carried out effectively and efficiently, will also be responsible for reporting, operating, controlling, testing, trouble shooting, installing and synchronizing machines in alignment with SCADA network electricity needs.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

·         Carry out Preventive Maintenance of all electrical equipment in the plant.

·         Identify all faults of the equipment (software and hardware) and carry out repairs.

·         Keep in good custody of all working tools and equipment.

·         Shall be able to read properly and interpret equipment service manuals and drawings.

·         Perform installation, repair, test and make adjustment of voltage, frequency and parallel current of generator Automatic Voltage Control for excitation systems.

·         Prepare and submit work reports after repairs or preventive maintenances.

·         Be ready to work beyond normal office hours in case of emergency break down incidences.

·         Shall be able to use all tools and equipment available for any assigned work related tasks.

·         Shall observe laid down company safety regulations for equipment and personnel.

·         Shall work at shift to attend operation duties at Power house.

·         To conduct all machine switching and synchronization activities so as to align machine operations with power users needs.

·         Any other related duties that will be assigned to you from time to time.

PROFESSIONAL/ ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:                                                          

 

• Holder of FTC/Diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized institution.
• Must possess Computer application skills
• Experience is an added advantage.

SYSTEMS OPERATOR  - HALE POWER STATION  1 POST REPORTING TO: SHIFT SUPERVISOR HALE

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Responsible for reporting, operating, controlling, testing, trouble shooting, installing and synchronizing of machines in alignment with SCADA networking electricity needs.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To conduct all machine switching and synchronization activities so as to align machine operations with power users needs.
•  Recording of all operational events of machines to guide repairs/maintenance activities.
•  Recording of all hourly generated and sent out units from machines.
• To maintain voltages and frequencies of machine systems.
• Restoration of power systems at shortest possible time.
• To liaise with SCADA on effective power distributions in the country in general.
• Reporting immediately to the Operations Engineer on all abnormal events of the system.
• Report immediately on emergence cases whenever needed.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Attend other mechanical works when ever happens and during Preventive Maintenance.

PROFESSIONAL/ ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

MAINTENANCE ENGINEER  - HALE  POWER STATION  1 POST        REPORTING TO: PRINCIPAL ENGINEER - HALE POSITION OBJECTIVE Responsible for Supervising and conducting  Proper maintenance of  132 kV, 33kV, 0.4 kV system at Hale Power Plant timely enough to ensure Optimal availability of the Plant. These include all plant equipment like Power Generators, Transformers and their respective protection system, 132kV and 33kV infrastructures and Local feeder. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES ·         Plan, execute, control and review maintenance programs of related installations in the area of your jurisdiction. The focus should be to optimize contribution of Hale Units to the Grid system under all operating conditions ·         Review plant preventive maintenance schedules, including both short term and long term plans like overhauls, rehabilitation, upgrades and modifications ·         Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on maintenance activities related to the area of your jurisdiction. ·         Prepare Spare parts requirements for equipment under your supervision timely enough as aligned to strategic goals and objectives for Hale. ·       Responsible for managing budgets, leading a team and liaising with suppliers ·         The ability and  capacity to understand a wide range of engineering functions and procedures. ·         Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components; ·         Monitor maintenance tool kits, equipment and controlling maintenance costs. ·         Dealing with emergency and unplanned problems. ·         Setting maintenance strategies, installation and commissioning guidelines. ·         Ensure company safely rules and regulations are adhered to at all the time when carrying out maintenance activities. The priority must be the safety of personnel and security of the company equipment. ·         Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor. PROFESSIONAL /ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:                                                           ·                 Good Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering. ·                 Must possess Computer skills ·                 Knowledge on IT will be added advantage. NURSE MIDWIFE  - HALE  HYDRO PLANT   1 POST REPORTING TO: ASSISTANT MEDICAL OFFICER  HALE DISPENSARY POSITION OBJECTIVE Responsible for the provision of high quality health services to staff, dependants and community at large at Tanesco Hale Dispensary. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES ·         Provide reproductive child health services,  nursing patients and taking records of patients’ vital signs ·         Administer medicines and drugs as prescribed by Clinical Officer/Assistant Medical officer and inform Clinical Officer on any anomalies noted with regard to prescription. ·         Provide community health education and sensitization on HIV/AIDS and individual health education to patient pertaining to their pathological significance while maintaining the confidentiality of every individual case handled at dispensary. ·         Provide vaccinations and first aid services to injured patients and maintain up to date inventory of all dispensary facilities and report in case of any damage. ·         Order, receive, store and dispense drugs and other pharmaceuticals and supervise dispensary cleanness and sterilize dispensary equipments. ·         Assist Assistant Medical Officer/Clinical Officer with examination and treatments of diseases and on compiling weekly and monthly reports needed by DMO and welfare Officer/Human Resources Officer. ·         Provide professional care to patients’ recovery and physical well being. ·         Perform other related duties as directed by the supervisor. PROFESSIONAL/ ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:                                                           Diploma in Nurse Midwife from a recognize Government Institution. At least two years (2) working experience in dispensary, Health Centre or Hospital. DAY CARE TEACHER (1POST) – NYUMBA YA MUNGU STATION REPORTING TO: WELFARE OFFICER - NYUMBA YA MUNGU POSITION OBJECTIVE To ensure provision of high quality and standard education services to staffs’ children, dependants and surrounding community in collaboration with other team members. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES                     ·         Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children. ·         Provide basic training and supervise social activities for children like songs, games, and storytelling etc. ·         Perform both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives. ·         Provide inputs for bi – annual assessments for children’s development. ·         Keeping all appropriate records of attendance and time sheets. ·         Ensure that children are being supervised all the time.                                                                                                  PROFESSIONAL/ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS Form IV or VI secondary certificate and a. Holder of Certificate in Nursery Teaching from a recognized institution. Minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in the related field Computer literacy will be an added advantage. SUPPLIES ASSISTANT – HALE POWER STATION   1 POST REPORTING TO: SUPPLIES OFFICER PHS POSITION OBJECTIVE Receive issue and record materials in the store to ensure store balance is maintained all the time. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES ·         Receiving of material and ensure that the quality and quaintly corresponds to the given specification and store in a safe place. Issue materials by ensuring the quantity and material issued correspond with the approved store issuing voucher. Posting of issue voucher to ensure stock balance corresponds with received/issued items. Key in material in iSCALA system to ensure correct data control. Carry-out Local Purchase to ensure that the items purchased satisfy the value of money. Attend any other related duties assigned by supervisor PROFESSIONAL / ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:                                                           A Holder of two years diploma in Material Management from a recognized Government institution. Must possess a good knowledge of Computer applications. Self-management and personal traits to all mentioned posts: Good communication skills in both English and Swahili languages.
